As many of you know the library is actively working to expand by building a new, larger library building closer to the elementary school. This new building will provide us the opportunity to better serve the community through a larger community space, a kitchen for cooking programs, private study rooms, more shelving for books, DVDs, and audiobooks, and a large outdoor space for outdoor programming! Bit by bit we are collecting the funds needed to build the new library and community center and we ask you to donate anything you can to the cause. You can send a check or cash to our PO Box at:
Highgate Library & Community Center
PO Box 76
Highgate, VT 05459
We so appreciate anything that you can give and thank you so much for your generosity. It is because of community support that we continue to grow and expand!
Support the library, purchase a high quality canvas tote bag!

The Friends of the Highgate Library and Community Center are running a tote bag fundraiser.
Use this tote for grocery store trips, take it to the beach in the summer, or use it to haul home all of your library books 😊 A tote makes a great gift for everyone and it is as useful as it is lovely!
$20 per bag and cash or check accepted.
Stop into the library to check them out and purchase one (or multiples!).

As a general reminder:

  • Card renewals as well as issuing new library cards can be done via email or by calling the library.
  • Our WiFi does reach the parking spaces in the front of the building, so feel free to drive up and log on! The network is TOH-PUBLIC and the Password: Sh0rtSt0ry. You can also use the open network Highgate Hotspot which extends the library WiFi further out through the parking lot and park. No password necessary!
  • If you have any questions please email us: librarian@highgatevt.org. Or call us at 802-868-3970.

Updates will be posted on our website https://hlccvt.org/ and https://www.facebook.com/Hlccvt/.
