Introducing “Books to Go”, a new book bundle service from your local library! Don’t have time to stop in to grab some books? No problem! Just fill out this form with what age range/genre you are looking for and we will pull books for you for pick-up! It’s as easy as that 😁
As many of you know the library is actively working to expand by building a new, larger library building closer to the elementary school. This new building will provide us the opportunity to better serve the community through a larger community space, a kitchen for cooking programs, private study rooms, more shelving for books, DVDs, and audiobooks, and a large outdoor space for outdoor programming! Bit by bit we are collecting the funds needed to build the new library and community center and we ask you to donate anything you can to the cause. We’ve set up a new building fund through GiveButter to make the donation process easy.
We so appreciate anything that you can give and thank you so much for your generosity. It is because of community support that we continue to grow and expand!
Support the library, purchase a high quality canvas tote bag!
The Friends of the Highgate Library and Community Center are running a tote bag fundraiser this holiday season.
Use this tote for grocery store trips, take it to the beach in the summer, or use it to haul home all of your library books 😊 A tote makes a great gift for everyone and it is as useful as it is lovely!
$20 per bag and the first 40 people to purchase a tote get a FREE adult or children’s book! Cash or check accepted.
Stop into the library to check them out and purchase one (or multiples!) before Christmas is upon us!

As of Monday, September 14th, we will be OPEN with limited hours. We are still offering curbside pickup for those that do not feel comfortable coming into the library.

Our new limited hours will be:

Mondays & Wednesdays: 9am to 1pm

Tuesdays & Thursdays: 3pm to 6pm

Saturdays: 9am to 12pm

For patron and staff safety, we ask that everyone wears a mask when in the library, practices social distancing, and sanitizes their hands upon entry of the building. All in-person programs are currently still on hold.
