“Know that I will not be saying good-bye, but rather “I’ll see you soon””

Dear Community Partners,

On June 28th, after twelve years with the Town of Highgate, I will be leaving my position as Director of the Highgate Library and Community Center. It has been my privilege to serve the community and be part of such an amazing organization.
The growth and change that has occurred over the years is astounding. None of this would have been possible without the support of the community. Thank you for believing and for supporting all the crazy and out of the box ideas that have surfaced. Together, we have built an amazing library, one that has been recognized on the state level as “the little library that does big things!”

Please know that I will not be saying good-bye, but rather “I’ll see you soon”. I will continue to be active in the school, community and as a member of the Highgate Volunteer Fire Department.

While the decision to leave the library was not made lightly, I am truly excited to begin a new adventure. Starting in July, I will be serving as Program Director for the Swanton Recreation Department.

The library will always hold a special place in my heart. I will cherish the time I spent here and the wonderful relationships I have formed along the way. I have no doubt that the programs and services will continue to flourish and that whoever takes over this position will continue to do great things for the Highgate Community.

Sincerely,
Liza L. Comiskey
